Hypnosis has proved to be among the most effective and least stressful ways to kick the smoking habit. However, many hypnotherapist agree that success is dependent upon the level of commitment that smokers have towards stopping.
This is a bit of a ‘catch 22’ because a decision to stop (the mind set) has been necessary to guarantee success – once the smoker decides they really want to stop, the hypnosis allows this to happen without any sense of loss or deprivation. However, if the this level of commitment is not there when the Hypnotherapy session is undertaken then then the chance of success is lessened.
But what if you know you really should stop for health reasons or you have to go into hospital where smoking is not allowed? You know you should stop smoking, but find it difficult to make that definite choice?
Good news for committed smokers who need to stop.
We have a program especially created to bring ‘reluctant quitters’ to the point where they are ready to stop so they can have the necessary mind-set to benefit from our Stop Smoking session.
This initial ‘pre-stop’ session is designed to help by removing the anticipated sense of ‘loss’, to introduce increased levels of confidence and to reduce stress levels. Also, it is designed to help the client become comfortable with the idea of being a non-smoker and to become more motivated.

Did you know that tinnitus can often be helped with hypnotherapy?
We have several strategies that can help with this debilitating condition. Whilst, we always recommend that you seek the advice of your GP when you have a medical condition, hypnotherapy can go a long way towards reducing the distress and the noise perception.
Many clients report that the more ‘uptight’ they become, the worse the symptoms and … the worse the symptoms, the more ‘uptight’ they feel etc. a vicious circle. Hypnotherapy induces a feeling of calm and we can teach simple self-hypnosis strategies to quickly get you feeling calm again.
There are possibly times that you don’t notice your symptoms so much; perhaps because you were completely absorbed in some activity or lost in a good film or book. Hypnosis can utilise this idea so you ‘forget’ about the symptoms more and more often. Often, the noise can become more troublesome when you concentrate on it and these cases we can help you to ‘forget’ the noise more often.
These are just some of what can be done to help. If you would like more information or think hypnotherapy can help you, please get in touch.
